Q: Do I need experience as a photographer?
A: No. The course is designed for students who have had little or no experience in the field of photography. Our comprehensive curriculum will allow the novice, enthusiast and semi pro to gain the needed skills to pursue a lifelong journey of picture taking.

 

 

Q: Is there a prerequisite to the photography course?
A: High school diploma or equivalent is required.

 

 

Q: Do I need to have advanced computer skills?
A: Computer skills are an asset but are not required to complete the photography course.

Q: What do I need to start the course?
A: You will need a digital SLR Camera. Our course is not specific to one type of camera or brand. You will need a lap top with Adobe Photoshop. The studio has equipment that can be signed out, and used within Numa Studios. Also, the studio has developed working relationships with local camera stores where you can rent equipment for discounted pricing.

 

 

Q: Can I take a tour of the School?
A: Yes, of course. Our Program Director would be happy to schedule a tour with you. At this time you will be able to view the school, and ask any questions you may have.

 

 

Q: Is it possible to obtain financial aid through the school?
A: We understand the unique challenges students face in financing school. Numa Studios will address each request for in-house financing on an individual bases to determine the options available.

 

 

Q: When should I apply for the Photography Program?
A: We review applications as we receive them and since spaces are limited, we advise you to apply as early as possible. Classes are filled on a first come bases – we do keep a waiting list.

 

 

Q: I already have some experience in photography – what does the Digital Photography Course have in store for me?
A: All aspects of professional photography are taught. If you are already equipped with a certain skill/technique, you will progress quickly, which will allow you to focus on components that are new to you.
